The ABZ Dove Foundation Executive Board seeks dedicated individuals to join our Board in Newport News/Hampton, Virginia. As an Executive Board Member, you will play a vital role in advancing the Foundation’s mission to improve the health and well-being of women, children, and the elderly. Responsibilities include implementing Foundation policies, electing the Executive Director, establishing annual budgets, and coordinating recommendations from committees. Board Members also define and oversee policies and procedures for scholarship programs, community service initiatives, and other impactful projects. Additionally, the foundation is seeking committee members for:
Finance Committee: The Finance Committee shall develop, evaluate, and recommend the annual operating budget to the Board at the December meeting and monitor line-item expenses. The Finance Committee shall also receive proposed expenses from committee chairs by a date determined by the Finance Committee and assess the monetary needs of the Foundation based on anticipated income and expenditures by a date determined by the Finance Committee prior to the December meeting.

Fundraising Committee: The Fundraising Committee shall be responsible for soliciting contributions for the Foundation and shall cooperate with the Finance Committee. The Fundraising Committee shall also be responsible for considering other sources of revenue and providing advice regarding fundraising events and activities.

Marketing/Branding Committee: The Marketing/Branding Committee shall be responsible for promoting, by proper publicity methods, the activities and purposes of the Foundation. It shall cooperate with the Finance Committee in promoting financial support for the Foundation.
​
Scholarship Committee: The Scholarship Committee shall make recommendations to the trustees with respect to and shall be charged with the administration of scholarships, awards, and similar matters and methods designed to accomplish the purposes of the Foundation to lend encouragement to college and university students in securing an education.

Service/Program Committee: The Service/Program Committee shall be responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing programs that promote the purpose of the Foundation.
